Fight Movies

I am a real spectator, and I like action movies as much as independant films. This page contains three short clips that are exercises of style and technique, and are designed to amuse. I really enjoyed filming them, especially because all the actors are very good friends!

Evil eye is the first fight film that I completed. On a cold December night, I was at my place with some friends. We had nothing to do, and so we picked up the video camera and started shooting! Everything is improvised, with the help of Oscar Lahoud, Roger Kouatchet, and Yannick Limballe. It's pure street fighting style!

A walk in the park was made for a children's association. Michaël Thazard, a fan of kung-fu, collaborated with me. We were inspired by the films of Jackie Chan where every object, a backpack or a bench, can become a weapon.

Paris May 2003, 2min32sec.

Virtual Reality was made for one of my friends, Dan Craciunescu. He had almost finished his engineering program, and was overworked by many final projects. One of his projects had a multimedia theme, and he asked me if I could help him. It was a great opportunity to practice some new special effects. This fight film is in the spirit of video games.

Paris June 2003, 1min36sec.
